Living in the UK, we were apprehensive of picking someone to perform the most important job on our wedding day over Zoom. All these apprehensions went out the window during our first virtual meeting with Barbara. She was kind, personable and perfectly encapsulated everything we wanted from our celebrant. "The naming ceremony for our third child was absolutely perfect- Barbara worked with us to create a personalised ceremony in which our family values and history were encompassed and celebrated. She was so easy to work with and listened carefully to what we wanted during our prep sessions to write a ceremony which we were truly happy with and needed very little further input from us. She just got us, got our story and our wish for an informal ceremony which would welcome our son and mark a new beginning for our family. We were completely at ease with her from our first interaction, she made it so easy and straightforward. On the day, she was the perfect balance of easygoing while keeping everything under control which allowed us to relax and enjoy the ceremony too, and not be worried if a few toddlers went walk about during the ceremony. From going through the layout of the ceremony ensuring we were happy to suggesting different ceremony enhancements to make it all the more special. But what really blew us away more than anything was the love story she wrote for us. When I first heard it I cried, she had so beautifully captured our relationship. On the day Barbara told it painting a picture for all of our guests of how we met, fell in love, and built a life together.
